Why using new plastics when there is so much plastic waste around us? Currently only a small percentage of plastics is recycled, the rest ends up on landfill, incineration or, even worse, in nature. It’s time for change, no more plastic waste(d). For this reason, this award is made from Dutch household waste like discarded packaging, plastic bags and other plastic products. To make this trophy, the plastic waste is shredded and eventually is pressed into panels which are used as the main material of the award. This process not only helps reducing waste, but also gives the trophy an unique story that sparks the conversation about sustainability.
